Our School:
The following information is intended to provide prospective parents with background on classroom schedules, curriculum etc. for your child, within each level in the Preschool (there are three: 2 1/2, 3s, 4s)

2 1/2s

Basic Information:
  • 6-8 children per class
  • 9-12pm Monday to Friday
  • Any combinations of 2-5 days/week
  • Snack served daily







Classroom Focus:
  • Fine and gross motor skills worked on daily
  • Name recognition
  • Circle Time…calendar, weather and more
  • Socialization…free play, sharing and adjusting to routine
  • Being away from parents
  • Colors, shapes and numbers/counting
  • Seasonal and holiday themes
  • Developing verbal skills
  • Scissor skills
  • Creative exploring
3s 

Basic Information:
  • 12 children per class
  • 9-12pm Monday to Friday
  • Any combinations of 2-5 days/week
  • Snack served daily
  • Lunch Bunch option begins October (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday from 12-1pm).


 
Classroom Focus:
  • Fine and gross motor skills worked on daily
  • Writing child’s first name
  • Small learning center groups
  • Social Skills…cooperation, routines, transitions, sharin
  • Math Skills…patterns, counting, estimation, sequencing, problem solving
  • Language Skills…literacy development, show & tell, verbal communication
  • Science Inquiry Skills…observation, prediction, experiments

Our 3s program begins a more structured learning environment for your child.

Pre-K (4s)

 Basic Information:
  • Senior citizens volunteer weekly
  • 17 children per class
  • 9-12pm Monday to Friday
  • Any combinations of 2-5 days/week
  • Snack served daily
  • Lunch Bunch option begins October (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday from 12-1pm)

 Classroom Focus:
  • Fine and gross motor skills worked on daily
  • Basics of core curriculum worked on daily
  • Language Arts…identifying letters and their sounds, phonemic awareness by writing in journals, sounding out, left to right progression, sight words, reading comprehension, retelling stories for sequence and understanding, rhyming
  • Math Skills…number recognition, addition and subtraction, measurement, advanced patterns, counting to 100 by ones and tens
  • Science…hands on experiments, analyzing data/results
  • Social Sciences…sharing, taking turns, working in group situations, language skills, using words to resolve conflicts, independent skills, taking care of their own needs
  • Pledge of Allegiance

Our 4s program prepares your child for Kindergarten.
